About the Authors
Joseph Sarosy is the author of How to Tell Stories to Children (Harvest/Harper Collins), now in 21 languages, and the creator of The Juniper School, an outdoor Forest School serving learners in Taos, New Mexico since 2017. In 2023 he was awarded a VELA Education grant to further alternative approaches to education. His blog The Storytelling Loop has been read by over 70,000 people worldwide.
Silke (silk-uh) Rose West is the creative heart of How to Tell Stories to Children, a Waldorf kindergarten teacher with over thirty years of teaching experience. In 1995 she cofounded the Taos Waldorf School, and in 2015 she pioneered the first forest kindergarten in Northern New Mexico. She is renowned in Taos and elsewhere for her puppet shows and storytelling. Today she consults with parents, teachers, and schools internationally.
