After a pair of mice wrecked my car one wintry evening, we teamed back up to salvage the wreck. Midway in the frigid river where the vehicle lay, I ran across an old friend - the chipmunk who stole my beard.

It’s a long story, really, but suffice to say that he and a few innovative chipmunk friends used litter, a spool of thread, and a few discarded lighters to create one of the greatest spectacles I’ve ever seen.
